Getting to Hua Hin
By Bus Hourly bus services are available from Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai Bus Terminal, Pinklao) in Bangkok from 04:00 hrs to 22:20 hrs. Air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buses ply the route from Southern Bus Terminal to Srasong Road in Hua Hin. Prior reservation is required to secure seats in buses. The tickets have to be booked at the bus station in person. The ticket costs about 160 THB.
By Minibus Minibuses are much faster than buses. They cover the distance is about two and a half hours. They have a limited seating capacity of 11-12 seats. In Bangkok, minibuses start from Ratchawitee Hospital near the Victory Monument. Minibuses ply the route every 15 minutes from 06:00 hrs to 19:00 hrs. The ticket costs 200 THB. In Hua Hin, the minibuses unload passengers in a site off Petchkasem Road in the centre of town.
By Car You can drive all the way to Hua Hin. There are two routes from Bangkok to Hua Hin. The shorter one is along Thonburi-Paktho Road, via Samut Songkhram, Petchkasem Highway and along the route to Prachuab Khirikhan. The longer one is via Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi and Petchaburi.Journey by car takes approximately 3 hours.
By Train Train is a safer and comfortable way to reach Hua Hin from Bangkok. Trains run from Hua Lum Pong Railway Station in Bangkok to the historic Hua Hin railway station. Both stations can be reached easily.
